This product is a combination of Cognizin® Citicoline and nine additional ingredients to support brain function. 

Cognizin® has been tested in several clinical studies with beneficial and positive results. It contains citicoline, a chemical found in the brain that increases phosphatidylcholine and acetylcholine, both important neurotransmitters. Research has demonstrated that these two neurotransmitters are imperative to cognitive activity, promoting memory function, alertness, and thinking. Also, citicoline supports the production of dopamine and norepinephrine, neurotransmitters that influence mood and mental stability. 

Acetyl-L-Carnitine is an amino acid that supports energy production in the mitochondria and is considered the “power plant” of all cells. It promotes physical and mental energy as well as memory.

DMAE (dimethylaminoethanoil) is a substance produced in small amounts in the brain and also found in anchovies and sardines. It is known to stabilize cell membranes and slow down degradation. Based on research, DMAE may increase levels of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which is believed to play an important role in learning and memory.

Alpha lipoic acid (also known as ALA) is an antioxidant made by the body. It is found in every cell, where it helps turn glucose into energy.  As an antioxidant, it is vital for proper cellular energy production and essential to neutralize damage caused by free radicals. 

Soy lecithin consists of three types of phospholipids: phosphatidylcholine (PC), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), and phosphotidylinositol (PI). It is extracted from soybean oil and is generally used for many applications in the food and nutraceutical industry. Lecithin provides an excellent source of choline, important for the synthesis of the phospholipids in cell membranes. It is also necessary for methyl metabolism, cholinergic neurotransmission, transmembrane signaling, and lipid-cholesterol transport and metabolism.

The scientific community believes that lecithin and choline may help aid in memory, cognitive activity, cardiovascular health, and liver function. 

Cognitive Complex™ contains the right amino acid mix to support cognitive activity. Among them are L-Arginine, L-Glutamine, L-Methionine, L-Phenylalanine, and L-Tryptophan.
