Diabetrim+
90 Capsules • 700 mg
Diabetes mellitus is an inability to metabolize carbohydrates resulting from a lack of production or utilization of insulin. People with this condition are not able to properly process glucose, a type of sugar the body uses for energy.
As a result, glucose stays in the blood, causing blood glucose to rise.
At the same time, however, body cells can be glucose starved. Diabetes can lead to several serious conditions involving the eyes, kidneys, nerves, and heart.

There are two types of diabetes mellitus, type 1 and type 2. Childhood-onset diabetes is also called type 1, or insulin-dependent diabetes. This condition needs to be treated with pharmacological therapy since the pancreas is not
able to make insulin needed to process glucose. With type 2 or adult-onset diabetes, or non-insulin-dependent diabetes, the pancreas often makes enough insulin, but the body has trouble using the insulin.

Diabetrim+™ has been formulated to support glucose control. This product contains a combination of vitamins, minerals, herbs, glandular extracts, as well as other natural components.

The vitamins and minerals included in this supplement play an important role in promoting glucose metabolism. There is evidence that the deficiency of some vitamins and minerals may affect glucose control. Diabetrim+™ also contains pancreatin, alpha lipoic acid, liver extract, and the amino acid l-glutathione.

The following botanicals to promote glucose control have been included in this supplement:

Gymnema sylvestre is used in products for weight loss as well as glucose control. This is attributed to the ability of gymnemic acids found in this plant to promote the delay of glucose absorption in the blood. The atomic structure of gymnemic acid molecules is similar to that of glucose molecules. These molecules fill the receptor locations of the taste buds, thereby preventing its activation by sugar molecules found in food thus decreasing sugar craving.

Cinnamon is an ancient herbal compound mentioned in Chinese herbalism for as long as 4000 years. It has a broad range of applications to various disorders. Various terpenoids found in the volatile oil are believed to account for cinnamon's therapeutic effects. Important among these compounds are eugenol and cinnamaldehyde. Test tube studies have shown to promote the action of insulin in people having high levels of glucose.

Fenugreek seeds contain alkaloids (mainly trigonelline) and protein high in lysine and l-tryptophan. Its steroidal saponins (diosgenin, yamogenin, tigogenin, and neotigogenin) and mucilaginous fiber are thought to account for many of the beneficial effects of fenugreek. Preliminary and double-blind trials have found that fenugreek helps support the improvement of blood sugar control in people with type 2 diabetes.

Bitter Melon grows in tropical areas and the fruit is the most prevalent part of the plant. It is used for a few conditions, glucose control being one of them.
At least three different groups of constituents have been reported to promote blood-sugar lowering activity. These include a blend of steroidal saponins known as charantin, insulin-like peptides, and alkaloids.

Wereke has been used in Northern Mexico for decades to promote manage-ment of glucose levels. Most studies have been evaluated only in animals (mice) with promising results. At the end of the studies, most mice had improved levels of glycemia, body weight, and triglycerides. Even though research has not yet determined an effective dosage for human use, many people perceive improvement with their condition.

Nopal cactus has shown benefits in the support of blood sugar control.
Blood glucose-lowering effects of this cactus is attributed to its high fibrous polysaccharide and pectin content. Nopal contains different compounds such as soluble (mucilage and pectin) and insoluble fiber (hemicellulose, cellulose, and lignin), polyphenols, ascorbic acid, and water. The presence of these compounds makes this cactus a valuable agent with a low glycemic index.
