Garlic 3000™ is a combination of deodorized garlic extract 50:1 and four herbs. Garlic is known to support cardiovascular health and promote immune activity.
Ingredients
Garlic can be used for multiple conditions, including poor digestion, parasites, respiratory problems, and many more. In 1858, Louis Pasteur studied the antibacterial action of garlic, identifying its effectiveness. Allicin, one of garlic’s major organosulfur compounds, is considered biologically active and believed to be responsible for garlic’s antibacterial effects. It is released when garlic is crushed.
Many clinical studies have shown that garlic supports the cardiovascular system. Research suggests it may help reduce cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood, and some trials indicate it may promote mildly healthy blood pressure. Garlic is also known for its antioxidant activity, and test-tube studies have found it to exhibit antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties.
Another compound added to this product is parsley, known to promote immune function. It contains apigenin, a phytochemical that is commonly recognized as a bioactive flavonoid. Apigenin contains antioxidant properties and promotes an anti-inflammatory response. Parsley is also rich in chlorophyll, vitamins A, C, E, and K, as well as beta-carotene, lutein, cryptoxanthin, zeaxanthin, and folate.
Cayenne fruit has been used by traditional healers for centuries. It is frequently used for circulatory conditions and is considered a circulatory tonic. Cayenne contains a resinous and pungent substance known as capsaicin.
A third botanical used in this supplement is nettle. From ancient Greece to the present time, nettle has been documented for its traditional use in respiratory conditions. Currently, it is thought that polysaccharides (complex sugars) and lectins (proteins that bind to sugar molecules) are the active constituents. Test tube studies suggest the leaves promote the anti-inflammatory action.
This product also contains dandelion root. Dandelion has been used for hundreds of years to support digestive and urinary health. The primary constituents responsible for dandelion’s action on the digestive system are the bitter components.
