This product is a combination of organic apple cider vinegar, ginger root, papaya and pineapple fruit.

For many years, apple cider vinegar has been used as a remedy for many health ailments as well as a preservative and disinfectant. Presently, apple cider vinegar in powder form is being used in dietary supplements to promote blood sugar regulation, weight loss, and other applications.

Apple cider vinegar is produced during the fermentation process of apple cider. Yeast digests the sugars in apples and converts them into alcohol. The bacteria acetobacter turns the alcohol into acetic acid. The “mother” refers to the combination of yeast and bacteria formed during the process of fermentation. Research has demonstrated that apple cider vinegar contains B-vitamins, polyphenols (plant-based antioxidants), among other compounds.
Research has shown that apple cider vinegar could enhance sugar control as well as assist with weight loss.

Acetic acid found in apple cider vinegar seems to block enzymes that help digest starch, resulting in a smaller blood sugar response after starchy meals such as potatoes, bread, pasta, and rice. A review of clinical cases published in Diabetes Research & Clinical Practice suggested that the intake of apple cider vinegar with meals can decrease fluctuations in insulin and blood sugar after meals.

Apple cider vinegar intake before a meal may have a satiating effect. A three-month study from Japan reported that 6 g of apple cider vinegar per day experienced a modest and gradual 1 to 2 pounds body weight reduction. Body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, triglycerides, and visceral fat were also slightly reduced.

Ginger has been added to this product. Ginger has been used for cooking and medicine since ancient times and has a large number of applications in many health problems.

A study published in August 2012 in the Journal Planta Medica suggested that ginger intake may improve long-term blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. Researchers from the University of Sydney, Australia, found that ginger extract rich in gingerols can increase uptake of glucose into muscle cells without using insulin and thus promoting the management of high blood sugar levels.

Papaya and pineapple have plenty of health benefits and medicinal value. They are one of the best sources of digestive enzymes. Papaya contains papain and pineapple carries bromelain, both being proteolytic enzymes which break down and digest proteins. In Europe, proteolytic enzymes have been used to promote the decrease of inflammation.
