Evening Primrose Oil
90 Softgels • 1,000 mg
Evening primrose oil (EPO) comes from the seeds of the evening primrose plant. It contains gamma linolenic acid (GLA), a fatty acid that the body converts to a hormone-like substance called prostaglandin E1 (PGE1). PGE1 contains properties that could promote anti-inflammatory activity. Some people with inflammatory conditions have reported that evening primrose oil supple-mentation has provided significant health benefits.

GLA, primary active agent in EPO, has been shown to promote healthy cell reproduction. Also, EPO has been reported to promote the reduction of cholesterol levels in some people.

EPO supplementation has been shown to promote the improvement of skin itching, redness, and dryness associated to some medical procedures.
