Herbal Dietmax
90 Capsules • 620 mg
This product has been formulated to control appetite, stimulate metabolism, increase energy, and reduce body fat.

Niacin (vitamin B3) is a water-soluble carbon compound important in the process of releasing energy from carbohydrates. It is needed to form fat from carbohydrates and to process alcohol. It comes in two basic forms - niacin (also called nicotinic acid) and niacinamide (also called nicotinamide). There is also a variation called inositol hexaniacinate. Since niacin contributes with the conversion of food into energy, it also promotes better circulation, lower cholesterol, and benefits the metabolism. Metabolism is an important physio-
logical mechanism to losing weight. A more efficient metabolism usually burns more calories.

A second vitamin part of this supplement is thiamine (vitamin B1). Thiamine is also a water-soluble carbon compound needed to process carbohydrates, fat, and protein. Every cell of the body requires vitamin B1 to form the fuel the body runs on - adenosine triphosphate, which can fuel any exercise-related attempt to burn calories and lose weight.

This product also contains chromium chelate. Chromium chelate is an essential trace mineral that helps the body maintain normal blood sugar levels. It has been studied for its potential role in altering body composition. Preliminary research on animals as well as humans suggests that chromium increases fat loss and promotes a gain in lean muscle tissue. Double-blind research has also reported a reduction in body fat and body weight in people who took 400 mcg of chromium per day for three months.

Super Citrimax® is a patented 60% hydroxycitric acid (HCA) water extract from garcinia cambogia. This compound is uniquely bound to calcium and potassium for higher and maximum stability, solubility, bioavailability, and efficacy. Super Citrimax® is supported by four reviewed clinical research publications and extensive research.

The indigenous people of the Amazon rain forest (Brazil) have used guarana seed as a beverage and medicine. Guarana was used to inhibit diarrhea, decrease fatigue, and reduce hunger.

Caffeine and closely related alkaloids, theobromine and theophylline, make up the primary active constituents of guarana.

Kola nut contains high amounts of caffeine, which helps combat fatigue and
is most frequently used as a central nervous system stimulant. It also has theobromine, a stimulant found in chocolate as well as in green tea. The Journal of the American Medical Association advocates the use of kola over other stimulants, because it is not addictive and does not lead to depression.

Several studies have been published demonstrating that the consumption of green tea extract may influence energy metabolism, body weight, and body fat content. Clinical studies in the USA of catechins (EGCG) have demonstrated an effect on weight loss and fat distribution. These studies were conducted in vitro (test tubes) using mice and later humans. Results of all these studies concluded that constant and high doses of catechins can be effective for promoting weight loss, increasing energy metabolism, and helping in the maintenance of lost weight.

Yerba mate is indigenous to South America, specifically in Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay, and South Brazil. Research has determined that yerba mate could aid in weight loss. The plant could potentially promote the interference with cholesterol metabolism and delay intestinal absorption of dietary fat.

Another essential ingredient in this supplement is bitter orange. Its primary compound is p-synephrine widely used by the nutraceutical industry for weight control management, stamina-booster, and appetite suppressant. Bitter orange became an important ingredient replacing ephedra (Ma Huang).

Creatine is a substance used in muscle tissue for the production of phosphocreatine, an important factor in the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the source of energy for muscle concentration and many other functions in the organism. Creatine monohydrate intake increases phosphocreatine levels in muscle in most people and may increase exercise-related gains in lean body mass.

The use of alpha lipoic acid, a naturally occurring antioxidant has been linked with short-term weight loss compared to placebo. Alpha lipoic acid can aid in weight loss while promoting the reduction of pathologies associated with excess weight. These include deficient glucose control, abnormal cholesterol levels, and chronic inflammatory conditions.

L-Carnitine is a water-soluble nutrient that allows the body to convert fat into energy. It is critical for energy formation and an active metabolism.

CLA or conjugated linoleic acid might offer weight loss benefits. A study published in the Journal of International Medical Research stated that participants who took CLA experienced a modest weight reduction in comparison to those who took the placebo.
