Ury Care
120 Veggie Capsules • 600 mg
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are infections of the kidney, bladder, and urethra. UTIs are mostly triggered by bacteria and are more frequent when there is partial blockage of the urinary tract. In some individuals, UTIs tend to recur.

Symptoms of UTI usually start suddenly and include frequent urination that
is burning or irritating, a persistent urge to urinate even after the bladder has been emptied, and cramping or pressure in the lower abdomen. The urine often has a strong or unpleasant smell and may appear cloudy. In some serious infections, chills, fever, pain in the back below the ribs, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea may also be present.

In a study, healthy volunteers consumed a large amount of refined sugar
(100 grams) and the ability of their white blood cells to destroy bacteria was impaired for at least a few hours. Intake of excessive amounts of alcohol has also been shown to suppress immune function. Reduced intake of dietary fat has also shown to stimulate immunity. People who have recurrent or chronic infections should discuss the possible role of allergies with a physician, since chronic infections have been linked to allergies in many reports.

Ury Care™ has been formulated to promote urinary tract health. This supple-
ment is a combination of d-mannose, cranberry and cinnamon extracts.

A simple sugar structurally related to glucose, D-mannose is used by health professionals in cases of urinary tract conditions caused by E. coli. D-mannose is absorbed slowly from the gastrointestinal tract and then a large amount is excreted through the urine. D-mannose is mostly found in peaches, apples, oranges, cranberries, and blueberries.

The increase of global antibiotic resistance and recurrences rates has led to the application of new therapeutic alternatives. As a natural alternative, the intake of cranberries as fresh, raw, dried or juice as well as extracts in capsule form has been extensively recommended. Cranberry consumption can be effective in decreasing the occurrences and severity of UTIs in women and to avoid the adherence of pathogenic bacteria in the urinary tract.

Cinnamon is an ancient herbal medicine mentioned in Chinese texts for as long as 4000 years. It has a broad range of historical uses in different cultures and for several conditions. Several terpenoids found in the volatile oil are believed to account for cinnamon’s medicinal effects. Important among these compounds are eugenol and cinnamaldehyde. Both cinnamaldehyde and cinnamon oil vapors are potent anti-fungal compounds. Studies have demonstrated cinnamon to stop bacteria breeding, at the same time promoting anti-inflammatory activity.
