Polybiotic
Net Weight 5.1 oz (150 g)
This soap contains grapefruit seed extract (GSE) and considered a broad-spectrum, non-toxic, antibacterial soap. GSE is derived from the seeds, pulp and white membrane of grapefruit.

In several laboratory tests, GSE has demonstrated its ability to eliminate or inhibit the growth of a wide array of potentially harmful bacteria, fungi, viruses and parasites. These studies have been conducted in vitro (in test tubes and culture dishes). Studies in living subjects have been limited, but reports from health care practitioners worldwide indicate that GSE has important clinical applications.

GSE offers the following pharmacological benefits:

Antioxidant effect - The presence of flavonoids and limonoids in grapefruit seed extract makes this compound a powerful antioxidant. GSE penetrates the skin to decrease free-radical formation and signs of aging.

Antibacterial and antifungal activity - It has shown potent antibacterial activity and also effective against yeast and fungi.

Wound improvement activity - GSE has been shown to decrease the intensity of gastric lesions in laboratory animals.

Cellular regeneration activity - Citrus limonoids have been shown to have cellular regeneration activity by inducing detoxifying enzymes like glutathione-S-transferase.

Cosmetic industry applications - GSE is used as a natural antioxidant in cosmetic formulations. Incorporating the extract in face washes, soaps and lotions also confers some protection against pimples or acne.
