Multi-Mix Complex
60/90 Tablets • 1600 mg
Nutritionists and registered dietitians clearly understand that a balanced diet is the best source of vitamins, minerals and other phytonutrients. Unfortunately, due to various reasons, nutrient deficiencies occur, including in countries with abundant food supplies and the means to obtain nutrient-rich foods. For example, the typical American diet lacks many nutrients experts recommend such as plenty of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains, which serve as important sources of many vitamins, minerals, and many other nutritional compounds. With time, deficiencies in one or many micronutrients may lead to serious health conditions.

One important reason people take multivitamins and minerals supplements is to maintain or improve health, but nutritional research is still examining the effectiveness of multivitamins and minerals in the prevention of certain chronic conditions. In addition to the benefits of its intake to fill relatively small but critical nutritional deficiencies, it may help conditions such as anemia, neural tube defects, osteoporosis, cataracts, and cognitive decline.

Unlike the intake of single-vitamin supplements, multivitamins and minerals are most of the time well tolerated and safe.

The Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 clearly states that dietary supplements are intended to supplement the diet and not to prevent or treat a disease. Yet, according to surveys in the United States, just 22% of dietary supplement consumers said they take supplements “to supplement the diet”. Among the most frequent reasons people cited for taking dietary supplements were to “improve overall health” and “to maintain health”.

Multi-Mix Complex™ is a rich combination of thirty-seven ingredients, among them many vitamins and minerals. Also, this supplement contains the following additional ingredients:

Chlorella is a green single-celled microalga with biological and pharma-
cological properties important for human health. Chlorella has a long history of use due to its functional macro and micro nutrients including proteins, omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, polysaccharides, vitamins, and minerals.

Kelp is a common seaweed used by the nutraceutical industry. It is a good source of many vitamins including folic acid and the minerals iodine, potassium, calcium, and iron.

Spirulina is a microalgae that has been consumed for many centuries due to its impressive nutritional value and believed health benefits. Spirulina, a type of blue-green algae, grows naturally in oceans and salty lakes with subtropical climates. The Aztecs harvested spirulina from lake Texcoco in central Mexico while in west-central Africa it is still harvested from lake Chad. Spirulina is rich in nutrients and according to research it contains significant amounts of calcium, niacin, potassium, magnesium, B vitamins and iron. It is also rich in many essential amino acids (protein makes up about 60 to 70% of spirulina’s dry weight).

Barley grass is considered a potent and highly nutritional food. It contains phytonutrients that have shown to have a wealth of health benefits and is abundant in vitamins, minerals, and amino acids.

Bee pollen is composed of a great number of different substances including nutrients (proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids), amino acids (rich in leucine, isoleucine, valine, and many others), fatty acids, vitamins (carotenoids, B, E, biotin, and folic acid), minerals (macro and micro elements), as well as phenolic organic compounds - flavonoids, phenolic acids, and their derivatives. Bee pollen also contains organic acids (oxalic, tartaric, malic, citric, succinic, acetic, lactic, and gluconic). Among inorganic components, bee pollen has macro elements (sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium) and micro elements (iron, zinc, manganese, and copper), as well as some other metals (chromium, aluminum, strontium, tin, nickel, and vanadium).

Alfalfa is high in several vitamins, including vitamins A, D, E, K, and even the full group of B vitamins. Also, alfalfa plant contains a broad spectrum of minerals such as calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium and many more. It has an unusual and extensive root system that can reach as far as 60 feet into the soil. This is what allows this plant to absorb many more nutrients than other plants.
