Apple Cider Vinegar+™
120 Veggie Capsules
This product is a combination of organic apple cider vinegar, ginger root, papaya, and pineapple fruit.
For years, apple cider vinegar has been used as a traditional remedy, as well as a natural preservative and disinfectant. Today, its powdered form is commonly included in dietary supplements to help support healthy blood sugar levels, weight management, and other wellness applications.
Ingredients
Apple cider vinegar is made through the fermentation of apple cider. During this process, yeast converts the natural sugars in apples into alcohol, and then bacteria, primarily Acetobacter, transform the alcohol into acetic acid. The “mother” refers to the combination of yeast and bacteria formed during the process of fermentation. Through research, it has been found that apple cider vinegar contains B-vitamins and polyphenols (plant-based antioxidants), among other compounds. It has also been found that apple cider vinegar can enhance sugar control and assist in weight loss.
Acetic acid, found in apple cider vinegar, appears to block enzymes that help digest starch, resulting in a smaller blood sugar response after starchy meals such as potatoes, bread, pasta, and rice. A review of clinical cases published in Diabetes Research & Clinical Practice suggested that the intake of apple cider vinegar with meals can decrease fluctuations in insulin and blood sugar after eating.
Consuming apple cider vinegar before meals may help promote a feeling of fullness. In a three-month study conducted in Japan, a daily intake of 6 grams of apple cider vinegar was associated with a modest, gradual weight reduction of approximately 1 to 2 pounds. Participants also experienced slight decreases in body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, triglyceride levels, and visceral fat.
This product contains ginger, a root that has been used for cooking and medicine since ancient times. It has a wide range of applications in several different health problems.
A study published in August 2012 in the Journal Planta Medica suggested that ginger intake may improve long-term blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. Researchers at the University of Sydney in Australia reported that ginger extract, rich in gingerols, may help enhance glucose uptake into muscle cells without relying on insulin, thereby supporting healthy blood sugar management.
Papaya and pineapple offer numerous health benefits and have long been valued for their nutritional and medicinal properties. They are one of the best sources of digestive enzymes. Papaya contains papain, and pineapple contains bromelain, both proteolytic enzymes that break down and digest proteins. In Europe, proteolytic enzymes have been used to promote decreased inflammation.
