Cat’s Claw
120 Capsules
Cat’s Claw grows in the Andes Mountains of South America, mostly in Peru. Traditionally, it has been used by indigenous communities to promote a healthy immune response for various conditions.
Based on clinical studies, the oxindole alkaloids in cat’s claw bark stimulate immune function. Alkaloids and glycosides in this plant also appear to promote anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity.
Although more studies are needed, cat’s claw has become popular in North America and is sometimes recommended to support healthy cellular activity. Cat’s claw has been used traditionally for people with mobility problems. In double-blind trials, 100 mg per day of cat’s claw extract taken for four weeks significantly promoted pain relief, proving to be more effective than a placebo.
Cat’s claw should be used with caution in people with autoimmune illnesses such as multiple sclerosis.
