Chlorophyll is the green pigment in plants that absorbs sunlight and uses that energy to convert carbon dioxide and water into carbohydrates, a process known as photosynthesis. This process is essential for sustaining plant life. When consumed, chlorophyll is valued for its potential detoxification support and its role in promoting healthy cellular function.

Echinacea was introduced into the U.S. health system in 1887, and its modern use started in the 1930s in Germany. Echinacea supports the immune system by activating white blood cells (lymphocytes and macrophages). This herb may also promote interferon activity in response to the presence of several pathogens.

Lapachol and beta-lapachone (known as naphthoquinones) are two important active compounds in pau d’arco. According to laboratory tests, both contain properties involved with immune activity. Natives from Central and South America reportedly use this plant for immune defense.

Red clover has traditionally been regarded as an alternative herb, meaning it was believed to support gradual, beneficial changes in the body. It is also known as “blood cleanser”, due to its detoxification properties. Modern research has revealed that red clover also contains high quantities of isoflavones with applications to several conditions.
