Intestinal Cleanser Part A

Intestinal Cleanser Part A has been formulated as support for the digestive system. It is a combination of four herbs known for their cleansing and restoring qualities of the large intestine.

The principal purpose of the colon or large intestine as an organ of elimination is to collect all fermentative and putrefactive toxic waste from every part of the body and through peristaltic movements of the muscles of the colon, eliminate all solid and semi-solid waste from the organism. In a few words, the colon is the sewage system of the body which needs preservation and hygiene to avoid toxic waste polluting the organism while producing many ailments.

Feces that stay in the colon are considered fermented and putrefied matter and any nutritional element present in it would pass into the blood stream as a polluted product generating toxemia. This condition is produced by the growth of pathogenic, or disease producing bacteria.

The first ingredient in this supplement is Senna. The leaves have been used by people in northern Africa and southwestern Asia for centuries as a laxative. It was considered a “cleansing” herb because of its cathartic effect.
Senna contains hydroxyanthracene glycosides known as sennosides. These glycosides stimulate colon activity and thus have a laxative effect. Also, these glycosides increase fluid secretion by the colon, with the effect of softening the stool and increasing its bulk.

A second ingredient is ginger. The rhizome contains approximately 1 to 4% volatile oils. The aromatic constituents include zingiberene and bisabolene, while the pungent constituents are known as gingerols and shogaols. Ginger is considered a tonic for the digestive tract, stimulating digestion and toning the intestinal muscles. This action eases the transport of substances through the digestive tract, lessening irritation to the intestinal walls.

Stress can upset the digestive system and make the muscles tense. Also, tension contributes with a lack of proper bowel movements. As the brain is on high alert during times of stress, so is the intestinal tract. Anything that causes chronic stress, including constipation can affect emotions and well-being. The use of valerian root for nervous conditions has been common for centuries. This herb contains many different constituents, including volatile oils that appear to promote the contribution of the sedating properties of valerian while also improving digestive function.

The fourth and last ingredient is black walnut. It was used by Native Americans for many centuries and considered an important agent in traditional medicine. Black walnut was utilized as a mosquito repellent, for skin disorders, and to promote the removal of parasites from the intestines. Black walnut hulls promote healthy digestion and gastrointestinal health. They encourage bowel regularity due to their gentle laxative effect and promote healthy bile flow.
